WHAT IS CLIMBING?

Climbing is the activity of using one's hands, feet, or other parts of the body to ascend a steep topographical object that can range from the world's tallest mountains (e.g. the eight thousanders) to small boulders.

Climbing is a new Olympic sport that is a challenge to both body and mind, requiring a blend of patience, determination, analytical thinking, discipline and competitiveness.

It develops dexterity, endurance, flexibility, skills, and overall fitness, while also allowing participants the opportunity to hone the mind’s problem -solving abilities. It is easily learned. This is a sport for everyone.

Climbing provides a unique mix of physical, intellectual and emotional stimulation. It is a great way to get or stay fit and meet new people.
